Metallography is the art and science of metallographic analysis. Although we do not offer a complete line of metallograph
ic products we do specialize in formulating acrylics, alumina's and glass beaded diamond lapping films.
Metallographic specimens are commonly mounted in acrylics and NANOFINISH Corporation offers two types of acrylic systems. The first is a semi-clear FAST curing Acrylic Systems and the second is a GLASS FILLED fast curing acrylic system. These arcylics are both ethly methacrylate based systems consisting of an acrylic powder activated by an liquid acrylic monomer formulation. NANOFINISH Corporations specialized arcylic system pots (sets up) in approximately 2-5 minutes depending upon the amibient room temperature. These mounts are typically fully hard within 10-12 minutes.
